Since 16 November 2011, a free and anonymous hotline has been in operation in the Utena District Municipality. Upon dialing (8-800) 77472, a caller hears a recorded message, and at any time of day or night may leave a message with information about criminal activity involving corruption (such as abuse of office, bribery, and the like) in the municipality as well as in institutions and enterprises subordinate to it. Residents’ tip-offs and reports are recorded to electronic storage media.
